Restaurant Uhrmacher in Oberammergau

Location: Oberammergau is a strategic location. If you have a car, it’s close to almost everything. I don’t know about public transportation. It is in Obberammergau center so you have great restaurants nearby. Accommodation: Our room was a superior deluxe one, it had two stories and it was simply incredible. It was one of the best we had in Germany. Very surprising (in a good way!). Sparkling clean as well. Facilities: Free tea, coffee and cake at the lobby is nice. A cosy reading room is available. Sauna exists, but we didn’t try. Parking spaces are available. There is an e-car charging area but I don’t know if people staying can use it. A private playground with slides and trampoline is available. Extras: They give everyone a Königscard, so you have access to many goodies, especially a couple of Seilbahns (cable car) in the region. I would recommend Wankbahn and Laberbergbahn (only if you’re into hiking). Also don’t miss the Reptilienhaus especially if you have children. They are all free of charge with this card, such a great value! Reception: Very friendly. They were swift to reply to e-mails and honored our requests. Even did a dinner reservation for us. We were very satisfied with the service. Food: Breakfast was very nice and had everything we needed. They give you a form the other night and bring what you want directly to your table (probably due to COVID-19). Waiters were friendly. Pretty convenient but when full, you can wait a little bit. The restaurant was still closed due to the pandemic, so can’t comment on that. Overall: I recommend this hotel for everybody looking to enjoy Southern Bavaria.

Ideal place for relax with family and friends - nice mountain views, cosy restaurant, a lot of pedestrian and ski routes just a few steps away, sauna to warm you up after a walking around. A good starting point to explore Southern Bavaria with its stunning mountains, castles and villages. Wish to come back here again.

Came here with a large group and enjoyed an amazing buffet. I’ve been very few places that can serve such a large group fresh food. The staff was attentive and friendly as well. Good food, attentive staff—how could you go wrong?

Great location, the bus for NSO make a stop right outside from the hotel. Very good breakfast with big variety of choices

Nice hotel in a great town. Nice restaurant. NATO bus stops by for pick-up too. Walking distances from many eateries. Has a sauna and breakout room if needed. WiFi slows in the evening so just plan accordingly.

Had a very enjoyable stay! The entire staff outgoing and friendly most spoke English very well, all spoke some. The accommodations were great the facility was very clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The rooms are exceptional...very well done and spotlessly clean. Service was quite good. The restaurant was not the best for dinner, but certainly not bad. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.
